Meet Levi, Taylor, Maverick and Callahan!

Aka, the Payne Family from Glade Hill, VA

I had the extreme pleasure of photographing this wonderful family on November 11th. 

This session had two purposes that day:  

1.  Take some good Christmas card pictures and

2.  Use this session as a distraction for the Levi so he wouldn't suspect his wife Taylor was throwing him a surprise 30th birthday party at Ippy's later that evening.

Our plan was to take them at the Smart View recreation center on the Blue Ridge Parkway, however due to a large area brush fire, they had closed off the park!  That was quite a shock. 

What to do now?? 

Luckily there is a trail parking lot outside of the park itself, so we just unpacked there and used the woods and fences as backdrops.  The kids did great and we got some really good shots.  Eventually we did have to bring out the bubble machine, but not until we were almost done!

I love this family so much!  I hope I get to work with them more in the future!
