A typical session with me starts at $60 for a 30 minute session.  From there the cost goes up at different increments depending on the amount of time you are wanting or needing.

It's best to book at least 2 - 3 months in advance especially during peak seasons like fall and spring.  This ensures you get your preferred date and time.

You can choose from a variety of print packages, albums and a la carte prints.  Digital files are also available as well as flash drives containing all edited photos.

However I strongly encourage you to print some of your pictures.  If you want to read about WHY I think you should print photos, read this article.

Wear what makes you feel comfortable and confident!  

Coordinating colors without being to matchy is key.  Choose a color palette that compliments each other.  Neutral tones with a pop of color or patterns work well.  Avoid logos or overly busy patterns.

Here is a style guide that can give you some ideas for your session.

I always answer with "it depends". 

Typically a session lasts about 1 - 2 hours but it could be very much shorter depending on the age of any children involved in the shoot. This allows enough time for outfit changes, different poses and a variety of settings.

However in my past experience kids under the age of 6 are only good for about 20 - 30 minutes of picture time and then they are done.  And that's perfectly ok.  If we need to take breaks, we will.  If we need to split the session up into 2 or 3 sessions that's fine as well.  We will find something that works for everyone and results in great family pictures for you!

The best time for outdoor portraits is during the "golden hour" which is the hour after sunrise and the hour before sunset.  The light is soft and flattering during these times.

The absolute worst time is during peak sun times from 11:00am to 6:00pm.  The light from the sun is harsh and will leave extremely dark shadows and unflattering lines that typically can't be corrected in the touch up phase after the session.

I love shooting in locations that are meaningful to you.  Whether it's a park, your home or a favorite hangout spot we will make it work.  I also have some great suggestions if you need some ideas.

Pets are part of the family too! Just let me know in advance so we can plan accordingly and ensure we have a pet-friendly location.

One outfit is usually sufficient for a family session.  However if you'd like you can bring a change of clothes for a different look.

You can expect to receive your edited photos within 2 - 3 weeks after the session.  I'll keep you updated if there are any delays.

This is your session and I want you to love the results.  Feel free to share any ideas or inspiration you have and we'll include them into your shoot.

I will go through all of the pictures from the session and choose out the very best ones for you.  Then I will edit them for color, exposure and minor retouching to make sure you look your best.  I aim to keep the photos looking natural and true to life.
