A Little About Me

Hi.  I'm Jonathan Messenger.

I'm a dad myself with 2 children I am very proud of and I show them off and brag about them every chance I get.

My oldest is Kayla.  She is 27 years old and is so sweet and beautiful and she is a very gifted actor and director.  She is currently a teacher at FCHS and helps with every theatre production and she has also been the stage manager for the Miss Virginia pageant for the last 4 years. 

My youngest is Madison having just turned 24.  He is very smart and caring.  He can do just about anything he sets his mind to.  He started out as an electrician at Jamison Electric where he was running his own jobs and is now a firefighter for the City of Roanoke.  One of his goals is to design and build his own house one day.

It's been a minute since my two were high school seniors and I miss it.  I was fortunate to take their senior pictures and I still have them on my phone and still show them to everyone. 

I know you feel the same way about your senior.  You want to show them off to the world and at the same time hold on to them forever.  As parents we are both excited for them and sad for us because we realize that they aren't little any more and they will soon be leaving whether it be for college or a job or possibly both.

My goal is to make sure EVERY senior feels beautiful (handsome if you're a guy), confident and safe during their session.  I will NEVER do a 1 on 1 session with a senior, girl or guy.  Parents, friends and yes even siblings are strongly encouraged to attend the session.  

I want you to know that I will treat your senior as if they were my own daughter or son. 

Now is the time to make sure you capture this milestone before it's too late.  You won't regret it (I don't) and years from now you can show them off to your friends and family as well.

DISCOVERY CALL

I will call you to learn about your senior's plans for the future, likes, dislikes, personality and style.  I also want to know how you plan to celebrate their senior year and what you love most about your senior.  By talking about all of these topics we can plan your portrait experience to reflect your senior's best features.

Step 3

CREATE

Expect your portrait session to be an exciting day full of laughs (I have a lot of dad jokes stored in my brain), wonderful pictures, happy moments and maybe even some sad moments as we start to realize that graduation day is getting closer by the minute.  This session will reflect how you want to remember your senior years from now.

Step 4

ENJOY FOR YEARS TO COME

Proudly display your portraits in your home as you are reminded of the love and joy or your senior's story portrayed through artistically created wall art.
